With dramatic advances in technology, long haul flying is slowly becoming standard practices. Below is a list of the top 15 longest direct flights that are currently flying (in descending order). From the list there is only one that flies over the Atlantic Ocean and 6 that have been operating since 2016.

Qantas new Brisbane to Chicago flights are commencing in April 2020 covering a distance of 8,916 miles, so it will soon occupy 4th place on this list.

 

15. Manila – Toronto (8221 miles). Operated 6 times a week by Philippine Airlines (B777-300ER).

14. Doha – Los Angeles (8306 miles). Operated daily by Qatar Airways (B777-200LR).

13. Jeddah – Los Angeles (8332 miles). Operated 3 times a week by Saudia Arabian Airlines (B777-300ER).

12. Dubai – Los Angeles (8339 miles). Operated daily by Emirates (A380).
